What To Look For When Selecting A Chin-up Bar

Thu, 01/12/2012 - 1:52PM by nickxghart 0 Comments - 3 Views

A lot of people don't really take a look at the benefits they can get out of pullup bars particularly when they're in the gym. Some people overlook it due to the fact that the equipment looks so simple. However, once you have witnessed the endless benefits that you can get from chin-up bar exercises, you can really say that it is the best of all the items you will find in the gym. The truth is, some people would claim that it is the equipment that will target all areas at once.

Purchasing a top quality pull up bar won't just save you from pointless upkeep or replacement costs but will also increase your fitness center's safety. These types of bars come in different lengths and would be ideal for either a single user or multiple users. Furthermore, you need to shop for the bars carefully since they need to allow different users to have narrow as well as extra-wide holds because every one of these grips work different sets of muscles.

Listed here are a few factors you need to consider when buying pull up bars.

Number of Users

Pull up bars come in different lengths and therefore you should think about the number of users you're purchasing them for. For example, there is no need for buying a long bar when you are the only person to make use of the bar.

Diameter

Different users have different sizes of palms. So it is beneficial to think about the diameter of the bars before you purchase to make sure you choose the right ones for you.

Strength and Grip

You certainly don't want your bars bending down because of the weight of the user(s). In this regard, you should get those bars that won't be forced to sag from the weight of different users. The best bars are those that are manufactured with steel. Also, the ones that are attached to doorways should have a strong grip on the wall. Additionally, you should shop for bars that have a great finish that will allow a tight grip.

Flexibility

Since not all walls are consistent for instance, you should buy those chin-up bars that have flexible features.

Location

Where will you put your pull-up bar? Do you want to hook it in a doorway? Or bolt it to some wall? Or perhaps you would like a freestanding pull up bar that you can place wherever you wish?

As you can see from all the things mentioned above, there are many factors to consider when searching for pull-up bars. So do your research as you do not want to buy some bars and realize afterwards that it is unsuitable for your needs.

Pull Up Bar Welcome!

Mon, 12/05/2011 - 2:58PM by nickxghart 0 Comments - 1 Views

Welcome to this site regarding pull up bars. I firmly feel that pull up bars are one of the most effective pieces of gym equipment for upper body improvement, so I decided to do a site about it.

I am planning to feature pull up bars, what to look for, pullup bar exercises and much more.

I have already been using a pullup bar at home for years now and like lots of people I seriously struggled to get going. What started off as chair assisted pullups turned into 1 leg chair assisted pull ups and that turned into full pullups. Next, I started messing around with my grip, width, etc and now I am able to do 10+ wide grip overhand pullups - probably just about the most difficult pull-ups you can do.

So make sure to visit regularly as I update this web site on anything and everything pullup bar related.
